QUALITY OPALS FROM AUSTRALIA
first&last OPAL strives to assure an unsurpassed level of excellence in all phases of your jewelry: from its original material source, through its meticulous selection to the perfection of its craftsmanship.
Beginning at the earliest stage with the often-difficult search for rough opal, we travel to opal mines in Australia – the Opal Capital of the world, to source ideal materials. The selections are then brought to our in-house workshop. There, our professional cutters maximize the beauty and value of each stone by cutting and polishing it to the strictest criteria of color, quality, size and shape for jewelry setting.
To pursue quality, we currently focus on making one jewelry category – ring. Our designers conceive the fitting design and, subsequently our craftsmen carve the bezel of each ebony-made ring for setting; together bring each polished stone out to its best effect.
A unique handmade opal wood ring is then born.

With the family heritage of over 50 years of opal business expertise, first&last OPAL, is founded by the young generation, represents uniqueness, environmental protection and charity.
The name first & last means when you purchase an item from our collection, you would be the first to select that particular opal/wood ensemble, and be assured that it is the last piece of such orchestration in our collection; as each opal is one-of-a-kind in its pattern, color, fire and hue.
Equally important to our quest to craft the most exquisite jewelry for our customers, we seek to protect the natural environment by reclaiming waste timber. We collect timber remainders from furniture workshops and upcycle them into durable and exclusive wooden jewelry pieces.
Last but not least, first&last OPAL believes: "It is more blessed to give than to receive". We have always known of disparity in the world; many people are in need. For every item you buy, we will donate 5% of the price to a charitable organization, which marks your buying experience as an extraordinary act of generosity.
